Cessation of Operations of
Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom on Sentosa
Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom (BPIK) will end its Sentosa operations on Monday, July 5, 2021. Visitors may redeem their admission tickets and Singapore Rediscover Vouchers daily, from 10am to 6pm, up to July 5, 2021, being the last day of operations.
BPIK was the first privately-owned themed attraction to operate on Sentosa back in 1983. Over decades, BPIK was the place in Singapore where people visit to experience and seek knowledge about butterflies and insects. It has contributed to the appreciation of not only the beautiful display of nature’s colours and created greater awareness for the often misunderstood insects for millions of visitors and their families over the years.
Since 2016, the management of BPIK, in collaboration with Science Centre Singapore (SCS), operates Butterflies Up-Close, an indoor facility at the SCS that houses more than 500 live butterflies from over 15 butterfly species. The management of BPIK will continue its mission of educating and inspiring, especially the young, on butterflies and insects from this facility in the Science Centre Singapore in Jurong.
